Death of an old citizen of Alabama. --We learn from the Huntsville Advocate that Captain F. T. Mastin died at his residence, near that place, on the 17th instant. Captain Mastin was a native of Virginia, whence he removed to Huntsville in 1818. He was for many years one of its leading merchants, and was distinguished for his intelligence, enterprise and probity.
Mrs. Elizabeth died at St. Louis on the 17th instant, aged one hundred and six years, two months and twenty days. As telegram has superseded the word telegraph, so, in London, the word "Paragram" threatens to take the place of paragraph.
