A Demonstration on the South Carolina coast. Augusta, Oct. 15. --A special dispatch in the Savannah Republican of this morning says that heavy firing was heard yesterday on the coast in the direction of Dewee's Inlet. It created some excitement in Charleston. [Dewee's Inlet is north of Charleston harbor, and on the coast of South Carolina. It is about twenty miles from Charleston, and between Caper's and Long Islands. These islands are between Sullivan's and Bull Islands.
From Missouri. Memphis, Oct. 15. --The St. Louis Republican, of the 10th instant, has reports from Lexington, Mo., that McCulloch was at Johnstown, with Price's army, which was marching on Sedatia, where Zeigle has 27,000 men. Price's army was increasing, and not retreating.

Railroad Bridge Partly destroyed. Nashville, Oct. 15. --A special dispatch to the Union and American, dated at Bowling Green to-day, states that owing to the misconstruction of orders, one of the pickets on Green river on yesterday destroyed part of a railroad bridge.
