This has a series of pans or trays suspended from the periphery of a skeleton cylinder, or, as it were, from the spokes of two wheels keyed on to the same shaft. The pans are preserved in a horizontal position by means of suspending each from a point above its center of gravity (Ball, September 23, 1856; McKenzie, May 1, 1860; Coburn, January 30, 1872); by a suspended weight beneath the pan (Ball, July 19, 1870); by radius rods like those of a feathering paddle-wheel (McKenzie, June 6, 1871). Reel-oven. The reeloven is shown in Fig. 3444. The rate of revolution is such that a loaf is baked during one revolution.
