Money for furloughed and discharged soldiers. --The act of Congress of October 2d, 1862, provides that Quartermasters may administer the oath to furloughed or discharged soldiers passing through this city, provided with a "descriptive list" or "final statement" They can thus draw their pay without going to the extra expense of $1 for the services of Notary Publics.
