Keswick soldiers' aid Society. The ladies of Albemarle are working diligently for the cause in which our brave soldiers are fighting. We are requested to publish the following: The ladies of Keswick neighborhood, Albemarle co., Va., feeling great sympathy with their beloved country, in this her hour of trial, met at South Plains Church, Friday, July 12th, and organized a society, called the Keswick Aid Society. Mrs. Francis Hart was elected President; Mrs. Margaret Rogers, Treasurer; Miss Lizzie Lewis, Secretary. The following preamble and resolutions were unanimously adopted: Whereas, wishing to form ourselves into a permanent body, to aid our soldiers who may be sick and wounded and far removed from their homes, kindred and friends; being willing to forego the luxuries and comforts with which we are surrounded, that we may bestow them upon our gallant defenders; deeming no sacrifice too great when made in such a cause; believing that every act of self denia
