Calf stealing. --Thos. Acree, a lad, charged with stealing a calf, worth $75, from Dr. Samuel Edwards, of Church Hill, was before the Mayor yesterday, but because of the absence of the principal thief the investigation was postponed.
Released from jail. --Thomas Acree, the lad arraigned before His Honor the Mayor on Tuesday last, for stealing a calf from Dr. Lemuel Edwards, on Church Hill, and who was committed to jail on said charge, was released from confinement on the promise of responsible parties that he should be immediately sent to his regiment.
