The said ambassadors desiring to address the Virginia Legislature on the subject of their mission, Mr. Seddon offered a joint resolution for the appointment of a committee of five on the part of the House and three on the part of the Senate, to wait on said Commissioners, and ascertain when it would be convenient for them to address the General Assembly. Carried, and Messrs. Seddon, Anderson, Hopkins, Bassell and Lundy appointed House committee. Mr. Seddon was directed to inform the Senate of the action of the House.--For further and detailed notice, see Senate proceedings.
