The trial of Bernard. --The jury for the trial of Joseph Bernard, indicted in the Circuit Court of Henrico for the murder of John O. Taylor, has not yet been empaneled. A motion was made on Saturday by the prisoner's counsel to continue the case, on the ground of the absence of a witness, now in the army, which was argued at length by Messrs. James Lyons and John B. Young, and overruled by the court. Mr. Crump, for the defence, then moved to quash the venire facias, which was overruledJoseph Bernard, indicted in the Circuit Court of Henrico for the murder of John O.
