Murdering a soldier.
--Upon the charge of willfully and maliciously shooting and killing a member of the Seventh South Carolina regiment, named T. M. J. Barkley, a member of the same regiment, named William Brandon, was arrested on Wednesday and committed to Castle Thunder.
The affair occurred the evening before at the camp of the Seventh South Carolina regiment, when the accused was immediately arrested by Colonel Haskell and sent to this city to await examination.
