Lamentable Accident.
--Yesterday evening, about five o'clock, as one of the boats of the St. Phillip, late Star of the West, was engaged in towing another boat having in it the anchor and chain, the latter boat being overloaded, was capsized, and, being lashed to the towing boat, caused her to sink with some persons aboard, of whom five were drowned.
Those drowned were Midshipman J. F. Holden, Quartermaster Martin Brown, Henry Russell and Henry Morgan, boys.--N. O. Delta, 18th.
