The Bank of Pittsylvania, located at Danville, Va., has been organized by the election of W. W. Keen, President, and has gone into operation. The Vicksburg Daily Whig hoists the names of Jefferson Davis for President, and Alexander H. Stephens for Vice President of the Confederate States, at the first election. R. M. Brown was killed on Saturday last, in Northampton county, N. C., in an affray with Jessee C. Moore, his father-in-law. Col. W. A. Parden, editor of the Jackson (Miss.) Flag of the Union, died on the 5th instant.
