Mayor's Court Thursday, March 18th --Joseph, slave of James Nagle, arrested for having in his possession a lot of tobacco, supposed stolen, was tried and acquitted. Martin Sullivan was arraigned for assaulting George Blalock by throwing stones at his house and breaking his windows, and striking him on the band. He was fined $3, and required to give security for his good behavior. Fanny, slave of Wm. Crawley, charged with assaulting Elizabeth Tyree and stealing a child's dress from her, was ordered twenty laches. John and Robert Braboy, arrested for not having their free papers with them, were discharged on their being produced. The case of William, slave of Arthur Bullock, for breaking into the store of James F. Dabney and stealing nine pairs of boots valued at $360, and several pairs of shoes valued at $272, was continued until Friday.
