Mayor's Court, April 27. --Peter Kennedy was examined for stealing a herring seine from A. E. Tucker, of the value of $50. He was sent before the Hustings Court for further examination. The examination of Michael Murphy, on the charge of violently assaulting and beating Peter Harmon, was continued until the 18th inst. John Branley was committed until the 28th, on the charge of assaulting Catherine Burke in her own house, and annoying the neighborhood in which he lived. Woodson, slave of George Duggan, charged with stealing 300 pounds of beacon from Frederick Weidmeyer, was committed until the 29th for a further hearing. John, slave of John Stewart, was whipped for stealing one pig, of the value of $70, from Augustus Black. The case of Miss Laura Gordon, charged with being engaged in the recent riot, was party heard, and continued for other evidence. The case of Ford, for the murder of Dixon, comes up before the Mayor to day, on its preliminary exami
