Recorder's Court.
--Saturday, Recorder Caskie continued the case of Daniel Kelayer, for stealing $72 from Casimer Castiona, to the 7th instant.
Also, to the same time the case of William Evans, for trespassing on James Thomas' premises, and the case of George, slave of A. L. Holliday, charged with stealing clothing.
J. S. Brady, drunk, lying in the street, and Bridget Carrigan, found lying under a pair of steps on Cary street, were let off.
Chain-Gang Recruits.
--Septimus Acquilla was carried before Recorder Caskie yesterday for using incendiary language, and failing to give $300 security for his good behavior, was sent to jail and ordered to the Chain-Gang for 60 days. The same order was entered in relation to Jas. T. Leathers, arrested for a similar offence.
Leathers is an old man, pretends to hail from Orange, is proprietor of an unpromising family who have once of twice been before the Mayor; has a cousin in the Navy named Turner, a Lieutenant, who was engaged in burning the Gosport Navy-Yard, and is himself a most unsavory specimen of humanity.

Unfounded charge.
--Two men named Americus Crutchfield and Henry Ward, were arraigned before Recorder Caskie, charged by Jesse O. Newton, with stealing a silver timepiece worth $20. An examination of the premises led the Recorder to the conclusion, that it did not take two men to steal one watch, and that the parties accused were not guilty.
They were let off.

--Archer Saxton was carried before Recorder Caskie yesterday, for abusing and threatening Bridget Ney. The proof did not show that Bridget had anything to fear, and the Recorder said nay to the demand for security of the peace.
Held to bail.
--Mary McCarrol was carried before Recorder Caskie yesterday, who held her to bail for assaulting Owen Muldowney, and abusing his wife.
The evidence of Muldowney, Bridget Coyle and others established the fact that so far as Mrs. M. was concerned, she had given defendant no cause or provocation for the abuse complained of.

Trifling charge.
--Thos. Flaherty was carried before Recorder Caskie yesterday, for firing a pistol in the stable of Henry Lofker.
Considering the times we live in, the act was deemed to have been committed with justifiable motives, and Flaherty was triumphantly acquitted.
Recorder Caskie presided at the City Hall on Saturday.
Jerry Daily was sent to prison for drunkenness.
Bartlett, slave of Nancy Carter, was punished for stealing a piece of iron.
Susan Moseley, free, from Powhatan, was punished and ordered to return thither.
Dennis Griffin, up on the complaint of Mary Kennedy, for an assault, was proved not guilty. --Thomas Dobson, arrested for being a person of evil name, fame and reputation, keeping a disorderly house, "c., was acquitted, the charge being more properly applicable to Ann Dobson, his better half.
Hustings Court, Tuesday, June 11th, 1861.
Recorder Caskie presiding. Present Aldermen Sanxay, Bray, Sadler, Binford, Burton Timberlake and Regnault.
The petition of Digges & Booth, to keep an ordinary, was heard and granted.
The application of Henry Banks (a negro emancipated by Bacon Tait) to remain in the State, being heard before a full bench, was granted.
Ordered that he be registered in the office of the Court.
Elijah, slave of Stephen Hunter, was tried for breaking into James H. Beagleston's store, on Dock street, on the night of the 25th of March last, and stealing a large lot of groceries, convicted and sentenced to receive thirty-nine lashes, well laid on.
Flemming Morgan was held for fighting with James Harwood in the street, and fined $5 and costs of Court; which he paid.
John Blackwell was tried for permitting his slave to go at large, and declared not guilty whereupon the same was discharged from custody.
