Important from Arkansas. Capture of Helena, Ark — a Regiment of negroes and the Yankee officers captured and Hung. Jackson, May 27. --The Mississippian says that news has been received at Grenada from Memphis, (where it was credited) that Helena, Ark, had been captured by the Confederates. Afterwards a telegram from Oxford to Grenada was received, stating--"Helena captured to-day" On Monday a man from the river reached Canton, who had read a dispatch to Colonel Ferguson from General Marmaduke, announcing that he had taken Helena, and hanged a regiment of negroes and the Yankee officers commanding them. The quartermaster at Canton says this statement may be relied on. Yankee gunboats are reported at Yazoo City.
