Gone. --About one hundred and forty commissioned Federal officers, comprising those taken in the battles before Richmond, and those captured in the Valley, lately arrived from Lynchburg, were sent off yesterday, under an escort of 15 men, from Greanor's company, City Battalion, under Lieut. Hough. They started at 12 o'clock for Varina, twelve miles below Richmond. Eleven of the number who were unwell, and Gens. McCall, Reynolds, and Rankin, went in wagons, which also served to convey the baggage of the party. One hundred and twenty-four of the officers started on foot. The day was excessively hot. On starting, only a few exhibited a truculent disposition. All seemed glad to-be off, and sundry of them expressed the wish that the war might soon end.
