The Recorder committed the accused for an examination before a called Court, to be held on the 5th day of May. Davy, slave of C. J. Clarke, was ordered five lashes for smoking a cigar on Main street. The case of James Tierney, for stealing part of a barrel of meat from Mary Broderick, was called and continued till the 4th of May. John Bohter, white, charged with resisting the Catherine Palmer, colored, was ordered thirty-nine stripes for stealing a $15 breastpin from Ed. A. Hill. Fifty Dollars reward --Will be paid for the apprehension of my negro man Anderson, who ranaway in the city of Richmond on the 13th inst. Anderson is about 20 years old; black; well formed, and about 5 feet 7 inches high. Has no rears or marks on him.
