Death of Judge Hopkins. We announce to-day, with feelings of sincere regret, the death of Hon. George W. Hopkins, Delegate from Washington county, which occurred Friday night at the residence of his relative, Mrs. Bransford, on 5th street, in this city, after a brief, but painful illness.--The announcements heretofore made asHon. The deceased gentleman was eminently calculated to win regard, and preserve friendship. To the frank and manly bearing of the "old Virginia gentleman, " he united a kindness of heart, and an urbanity of manner which rendered hs life he had served his country, both in State and National Halls of Legislation, with credit to himself, and once represented the nation at a foreign court. Judge Hopkins was a brother of Hon. Henry L. Hopkins, for many years Speaker of the House of Delegates, and a native, we believe, of the county of Goochland. He was about 6
