Military execution. --Charles Kelly alias Linton, will be executed at Chapin's Bluff this morning, having been sent down from Castle Thunder to that point yesterday. His offence was desertion and substitution. He was originally a member of the 13th Louisiana regiment, from which he deserted, and substituted in an artillery company at the Bluff. He is represented to have received the announcement of his sentence with almost perfect indifference, and left Castle Thunder yesterday morning in cheerful spirits.
