for the promotion of the health and comfort of the soldiers of the Confederate army. The Society was then organized by the election of the following officers: Miss Fannie Martin, President. Mrs. Mary Neale, Vice President. Miss Sallie Lipscomb, Secretary. Miss Muertha Richards, Treasurer. On motion, it was unanimously Resolved, It shall be the duty of this Society to solicit contributions in money, labor, or any other available form. To prepare articles of food for t the Society. The ladies of West Point Church, King William co., having organized a Soldiers' Aid Society, called the Relief Society, to meet regularly at said Church, are ready and anxious to receive work and to make uniforms, or any other kind of work intended for soldiers' use. All packages intended for this society should be forwarded to West Point, terminus of the York River Railroad, where they will receive prompt attention. Direct to the care of A. B.
