The Army Committee of the Young Men's Christian Association and Ladies' Soldiers' Aid Society acknowledge the receipt of the following contributions for the soldiers in the field and hospital during the month of October, viz: From Mrs. James Steger, of Cumberland, two pairs of socks; from Miss M. L. Thompson and other, of Wytheville, one hundred pairs of socks; from Colonel H C. Cabell, two hundred bushels of corn; from C. H. The Committee request contributions in money and supplies for the benefit of soldiers in the field and hospital. Socks and yarn are specially required. The funds and provisions having been exhausted, the Committee earnestly request immediate contributions of money, food and fuel. Contributions of money should be sent to H. E. C. Baskerville.
