By the Governor of Virginia — a proclamation.
--Whereas, it is represented that Miller's Tavern, the place last appointed for holding the sessions of the County Court of Essex county, is infected with contagious disease, therefore, by virtue of authority vested in the Executive by law, I John Letcher, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, do hereby require the justices composing the County Court of the said county of Essex to hold the next regular sessions of said Court at Hollywood, in that county, and thereafter to continue to hold the monthly sessions of the Court at the same place so long as the reason for the change hereby authorized shall continue.
