Capture of Helena, Ark — a Regiment of negroes and the Yankee officers captured and Hung.
Jackson, May 27.

Afterwards a telegram from Oxford to Grenada was received, stating--"Helena captured to-day"

The quartermaster at Canton says this statement may be relied on. Yankee gunboats are reported at Yazoo City.
