Stephen, prob. brother of Richard (1); the verdict of a coroner's jury is among the Files of the Middlesex County Court, dated 12 Jan. 1658-9: We, whose names are subscribed being summoned by the Constable of Cambridge to view the dead body of Steven Holden, lately deceased, we saw that his skull was crushed by a blow which (as we were informed by Samuell Wood and Richard Parke) come by the falling of a tree which himself had been helping to fell, and as he was going from it the tree fell suddenly and contrary to the expectation of all that were present, and gave him his mortal wound on his head.
