Our forces want on from there and bagged Col. Huck's regiments of Tennessee Tories, except a few stragglers, and paroled them, requiring them to go North, but still held on to Huck, and other officers. These tories reported our informant, as he conversed will several of them, that they are willing to be captured and released from obligations to fight any more against the South, being heartily tired of the service. They said three or four hundred were then prisoners, and about three hundred had previously deserted. Gen. Smith's headquarters are at Cumberland Ford. The Yankees had tried to evacuate the Gap.
