A Palmetto flag in Illinois.
--On Sunday morning a party of men from Rock Island county, Ill., took possession of the old, dilapidated post, Fort Armstrong, in that county, hoisted a Palmetto flag, and fired a cannon.--Shortly afterwards, a company of men from Davenport, Iowa, marched to the spot, drove the Rock Islanders out, hauled down the Palmetto flag, and raised the Stars and Stripes.--St. Louis News.
