ried December 19, 1867, to Miss Rachel Jackson, and they have five children: Anna Baker, Pauline Peyre, Samuel Porcher, Charles Jackson and Philip Porcher, Jr. Lieutenant William Leonard Galloway, M. D., of Darlington, was born at Lydia, Darlington county, S. C., in 1841, and was educated at the public schools of that county. In January, 1861, at the beginning of Southern trouble, he enlisted in Company F, Eighth South Carolina infantry, as a private. In the spring of the same year a reorg those friendly loans which had helped him to his education, and since then, through many years of honorable professional life, Dr. Galloway has accumulated a good estate. When he returned home and commenced practicing his profession at Lydia, Darlington county, he achieved well-merited success and remained there twenty-four years. In 1892 he removed to Darlington, making that his permanent residence and the theater of his useful professional services. Dr. Galloway was married, September 30, 1
