The battle at Woodville. Gallantry of the Texans — death of Col. Terry-- re- organization of the officers--Gen. Humphrey Manuhall, &c. [Correspondence of the Richmond Dispatch.] Nashville, Dec. 19, 1861. All Nashville is in a state of excitement just now about the recent engagement on Green river, and in anticipation of it being followed by more fighting at or near the same place within a few days. The Texans who came down yesterday with the body of their colonel were followed along the streets and surrounded at every corner by the people, anxious to obtain information of the details of the fight in which they had been engaged. The interest felt before was greatly increased by the sight of the solemn and imposing cortege which escorted the remains of Col. Terry from the Bowling Green cars to the Capitol, where they lay in state for some time, and then to the cars on route for Texas. These Texans were indeed the heroes of the hour.
