Gen. Pearce, of Alabama.
This distinguished officer, who exhibited intrepid valor at the battle of Oak Hills, in Missouri, arrived in Richmond on Saturday evening. His mission is connected with military matters in Arkansas, and doubtless has in view the reorganization of his command, of which he has recently been deprived through a blunder on the part of the Military Board of the State.
