Salt --No Lock of Salt.--Mr. Hill, residing near Bethany, Iredell county, in company with seven wagons, returned from the Salt Works, near Abingdon, Virginia, last Saturday, heavily freighted with salt, of the best quality, which was purchased at fifty cents per bushel. Mr. Hill says the works are turning out 3,000 bushels a day, and the article can be had by the 20,000 bushels any day. This indeed is good news. But let salt likewise be made at Wilmington and Norfolk.--Ireddi Express.
