of Casco, 1636, had been sent by the governor and company to Captain Endicott, at Salem, 1629, as a cleaver of timber. Part of the town of Salem was early called Ryall's side. He purchased of Gorges, 1643, on east side of Royall's River, in North Yarmouth, and lived near its mouth. He m. Phebe Green, step-dau. of Samuel Cole, of Boston.
