A Southerner released from Fort Lafayette. We had an interview on Saturday with Mr. U. B. Harrold, of Macon, Georgia, who has recently arrived from Fort Lafayette, where he had been imprisoned for a period of three weeks. Mr. Harrold was at the North for the purpose of bringing home his two sisters and a niece, and was arrested at Jersey City for some imprudent expression of sentiment.--The circumstances in which he was placed rendered it, in our opinion, entirely justifiable that he should have accepted any terms of release with the privilege of returning home and in doing so he adopted the advice of his fellow-captives at the Fort. Proceeding to Washington, Mr. Harrold was placed upon his parole of honor, and then returned to Baltimore, where he took passage in a steamer for Fortress Monroe.
