From California. San Francisco, April 19 --News has been received here from British Columbia to the 16th inst. Spring had opened. The miners, in crowds, were leaving Victoria for the gold fields. Colonel Carleton, with about three thousand California volunteers and a battery, have left the southeastern border of this State, on a secret expedition — some say for Arizona and New Mexico, and others for Salt Lake.
