The expedition under Col. Dodge, which left Rolla a few days since in quest of ex-judge Freeman's band of rebels, took possession of Houston, in Texas county, on the 4th instant, and captured a large amount of rebel property, and several prominent Secessionists, including some officers of the rebel army. A large mail for the rebel army was also captured, containing information of the position of the entire rebel force in Missouri. Capt. Wood, with his rangers, has gone forward to Spring Valley, to attack the main body of Freeman's band, stationed there. From Washington — affairs across the Potomac.
