Total amount, $2,341.99. Williamsburg Incorporated April 24, 1771. Population in 1860, 2,095; in 1865, 1,972. Valuation in 1860, $906,206; in 1865, $1,085,693. The selectmen in 1861 were William A. Nash, William E. Thayer, Nathan C. Wrisley; in 1862, 1863, 1864, and 1865, Nathan C. Wrisley, Elnathan Graves, Thomas Nash. The town-clerk and town-treasurer during these years was Thomas M. Carter. 1861. The first legal town-meeting to act upon matters growing out of the war was held on the 2d of May, at which H. H. White, D. F. Martin, and William A.
