--From the Medical College, the slave James Thornton, a Negro man about 35 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, commonly and strongly built, weighing 160 to 175 pounds. He has a wife at Mr. Edmund Winston's, near Taylorsville, Hanover county, and may have gone in that direction.
He is a shrewd, smart fellow, and will try to give a good account of himself.
All persons are hereby warned against harboring him, and a suitable reward will be paid for his delivery to [jy 9--ts] F. M. Parrish
