Wilkinson's company has been incorporated into the battalion of artillery commanded by Major William Allan, of Claremont, who have charge of a stationary battery at Jamestown, thus affording a fine opportunity to persons wishing to join a volunteer company, and at the same time to avoid the fatigue of long marches.
