Regiment. the committee reported the following preamble and resolutions, which were unanimously adopted: whereas, in our opinion the final success of the arms of the Confederate States is an absolute necessity to the perpetuation of our liberties as a people, and our preservation from the most galling oppression and tyranny with which a people were ever afflicted; and whereas, our obligations to God, to our country, to ourselves, and to the loved ones at home, a
