On motion of Mr. McKenney, it was-- Resolved, That a special committee be appointed to inquire into the expediency of reporting a bill releasing the schooner Pauline, from Newbern, N. C., from the payment of the fine imposed for an alleged violation of the inspection laws. Messrs. McKenney, Douglass and H. W. Thomas were appointed a committee to act under the above resolution.
