Correspondence of the Richmond DispatchNearly and Accident — trial of a Criminal--Weather. Harrisonburg, Va., March 6, 1861. On Sunday last two precocious juveniles, 12 to 13 years old, sons of Mr. John Hedrick, near Dayton, in this county, came very near being drowned. They procured a store-box, and stuffing the cracks with paper, "launched their frail bark" upon a large pond. They were sailing gaily when the craft capsized, and it was with difficulty they were saved from drowning, as the pond was quite deep. Jno Landes, who was arrested some time since for pilfering small articles, was brought up for examination yesterday and remanded for further trial. Landes is a rather curious character. He has for some time been the terror of country dames, who scarcely allowed their bread, pies, cakes, &c., to cool before locking them up for fear Landes would be about, as was his custom.
