Affairs at Annapolis. --A letter from Annapolis, April 30, says: In addition to the fortifications erected at Fort "Nonsense," (which is merely an embankment on the side of the Severn, opposite the Naval School,) and Fort Madison, the troops have thrown up embankments on Judge Brewer's farm, on the line of the Annapolis railroad, about one-half mile from the city, in order to hold the road, should any attempt be made to take possession of it by the citizens. This work will also be of great service to the Northern troops on their return from Washington, in case they are repulsed, besides the works on Fort Nonsense, Fort Madison. and the embankments on Horn Point, will allow them a safe disembarkation from the city. The remaining midshipmen have all been sent to Newport, R. I., where the school will be conducted in the future. All the midshipmen who are in the school at present are of Northern birth, all the Southerners having resigned and returned to their respectiv
