In consequence of the very courteous request of the Secretary of War, the limits of your correspondent are very much narrowed. We had prepared an account of the skirmish near Young's Mill, but after consultation with the Major of our Battalion, thought it advisable to take it from the post-office. His reasons should have their weight with all of your correspondents, however much it may restrict their bounds. No one can possibly furnish an accurate account of these skirmishes without giving information to the enemy which he should by no means possess.
