Circuit Court. --Judge Meredith's Court, which adjourned over on the 23d of December, was in session yesterday. The Grand Jury met for the purpose of relucting the parties concerned in the issue of small notes, a noble prosequi having been entered in each of the previous indictments, owing to the disqualification of a juror, who was not a freeholder. True bills to the number of 111 were returned yesterday, and the Grand Jury adjourned over until 12 o'clock to-day. A writ of habeas corpus was awarded yesterday on the petition of George Twells, who represents that he resided in Louisiana for twelve or fifteen years, and, when the present troubles commenced, helped to raise a company, of which he was a lieutenant; that he came to Virginia and served with the Wise Legion for some time, when his health gave way, and he resigned and came to Richmond; that having an interest in property in Philadelphia, and desirous of saving it from confiscation, he determined to visit that city
