Mr. Duncan, (Methodist) A resolution from the House, in relation to the military services of Gen. Jos. E. Johnston, was read, as follows: The General Assembly, appreciating the eminent military services of Gen. Jos. E. Johnston in the present war, desire to offer to him, some public recognition of his wellearned claim upon the regard and affection of his native State: Therefore, Resolved, by the General Assembly. That the Board of Visitors of the Virginia Military Institute shall admit in all respects as State cadets, any two young men who may be nominated to them by Gen.
