My dear little Friend: Your kind letter should have been answered long ago, but when is was received I was at Fairfax Court-House, and the enemy were daily expected. Your letter with others were mislaid and foud only a short time ago. I assure you I feel very badly about it, for of all the kind letters I receive Amanda, let me again thank you for your kindness.
