Police matters. --The cage held two prisoners yesterday, viz: Erasmus Kaskin, free negro, for escaping from the Penitentiary, and Madison, slave of Julian Harrison, arrested by Gentry and Blankinship for stealing gold from Col. Montgomery. These, and other parties who may fall into the hands of the police will be brought before the Mayor this morning.
