Police Court. --Yesterday, Thomas Murphy was brought up for examination on the charge of stealing $350 from John A. Rouse. The latter was robbed a week or two since, and several parties have already been brought to condign as sharers in the plunder obtained from him. The examination in this instance was continued until to-day.--Isaiah, slave of Wm. Taliaferro, arrested for receiving $75 from James, a slave owned by Mrs. Mander, the property of John T. Hill, was convicted and ordered 30 lashes.--The alleged assault and battery on Margaret Whalen by John Pero and his son and wife, was the subject of a lengthy investigation, during which the witnesses on either side gave graphic pantomimic illustrations of what was done and how, including the cursing said to have been indulged in by the parties, which was not in very choice language.
