The Courts.
Mayor's Court.--The following cases were before the Mayor yesterday:
Charles H. Miller and Charles Bradford, for fighting in the street, were required to give security for good behavior.
John F. Hockaday, a soldier, charged with breaking a paling, and striking watchman Pearce on the head with it, was held to bail to answer an indictment for the offence.
Michael Walls and Wm. J. McCarty, for assaulting and beating Patrick Slattery, were discharged.
A full examination was had of the charge against Benjamin Gottlieb, for stealing hogs from John Clash.
The evidence against Gotilieb was sufficiently strong, in the opinion of His Honor, to send him on for examination before the Hustings Court.
Fritz Freeman, an employee of Gottlieb, also implicated in the larceny, by the evidence of Mrs. Wray, was also sent on. Both parties were admitted to bail in the sum of $500.
Thomas R. Stewart was build to appear and answer an indictment for selling liquor w
