Presentation to Gen. Jeff. Thompson. --A splendid rifle and accoutrements was presented to Gen. Jeff. Thompson, of Missouri, yesterday, by some of his Georgia and Virginia friends. The General, who has been in the city for several days, stopping at the Exchange Hotel, is practically well skilled in the use of the favorite weapon which his friends have seen fit to bestow upon him.
