Falmouth, Va. (Virginia, United States) (search for this): article 10
Later — the Yankees gone Fredericksburg, June 14, 1863. The Yankees left last night or early this morning, having "successfully accomplished the object of this bold reconnaissance." The pontoons are gone. Our pickets captured 39 prisoners. The Stafford hills below Falmouth are almost bare of Yankee tents. This looks like evacuating Stafford. A tremendous fire at their depot was seen last night. Their pickets on the other side of the river are doubled. Firing up above was heard yesterday evening, and probably they have had a thrashing in that direction.
